PACIFIC / INDIAN / ATLANTIC REEFS
(pictures by A. Tribollet: Ile des Pins & récif de Lifou)
I am studying coral reefs worldwide (especially in the Indo-Pacific Ocean but also in temperate-substropical
carbonate systems. My main goals are to highlight the diversity and roles of boring microflora in those systems.
My main focus is on the roles of boring microflora in the reef bioerosion process and resilience of corals.
I'm currently starting a project in the Eparses Islands (Mozambic Channel) and Mayotte (2018-2019).
I'm involved in the Tara Expedition in the Pacific Ocean (co-coordinator of the WP : Paleoclimate and Bioerosion).
In the Mediterranean Sea, I'm involved in the MOSAS project (Italy) for 2018-2019.
