PACIFIC / INDIAN / ATLANTIC REEFS
(pictures by A. Tribollet: Ile des Pins & récif de Lifou)
I am studying coral reefs worldwide (in the South Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and Carribean) but also temperate
carbonate systems. My main goals are to highlight diversity and roles of boring microflora in the C biogeochemical cycle
at the global scale. My research focuses especially on the roles of boring microflora in the reef bioerosion process and
health/resilience of live corals. Several experiments (in situ and ex situ) are ongoing across the world.
